Congratulations! You have already become high school students. You have to be proud of it! When I get into senior high school, I feel exciting but also with a nervous mind. At that time, I really don’t know what I can do for preparing my three years life in the future. Now, I’m going to graduate from high school, let me give you some advice about becoming a new high school freshman. Most important of all, I think being optimistic and perseverant can give you the motive to abundant your high school life. With these two attitudes, extending your views and cultivating an interest are also important.

      There are three ways for you to extend your views. First, reading the newspaper everyday to know what happened to the world gives you more information and knowledge of the tendency of global. Take my experience for example; I have lots of tests in my high school life. Many questions to my test will have a connection to daily news. Like social class, we always have to concern about new laws and new policies. So we have to read lots of the newest issues. If you have read daily news, you can get easy to answer these kinds of questions on our testing paper.

Second, you can join a club. There are lots of advantages for joining a club. You can learn numerous new things in the high school club. For instance, you can learn the instrument in the music club, learn how to dance in the dancing club or you can join the sport club like table tennis, baseball, basketball, etc. By joining the sport club, you can train your body endurance. This kind of school club cannot only learn new things but also make friends with others. Through making new friends, you can have different ideas, experiences, and also have new thinking ways on looking things. That makes your thinking wider. I have joined debate and speech club in my high school life. From this club, I learn how to speak in front of people confidently and also gained my courage to say what I thought. That’s what I learned in high school club.

Third, reading habit is also an important ability for you to cultivate. Through reading lots of distinct books, you can get more knowledge from them, extending your view sights of new information and can also have broaden aspects to critic things. Reading can also help you relax your mind. When you are in a bad mood, you can read cheerful or interesting stories to help you walk out of sadness situations. Reading can also give you more creative thinking. For instance, Harry potter is a book which full of magic, in our truly life, magic is not exist. If I didn’t read Harry Potter, I won’t have that kind of thinking about imaging a magic world.

Through reading the newspaper, joining a club and reading books, you can also accumulate experiences and know what interests you would like to cultivate. These things are what I want to tell you-a freshman in senior high. Hope you can have wonderful three years in high school life.

(I) Introduction: What personalities do you think that a leader should have? I think there are three personalities that a leader should require. The following three characters are have good attitude to everyone, confidence and considerate.

        A. have good attitude to everyone and also have a humorous character

          i. Churchill

        B. Confidence in what she said.

          ii.     Hillary

        C. Considerate to his or her people

          iii.    Yu- the legendary founder of the Hsia dynasty

(III) Conclusion:  The characters of being a good leader are having good attitude to everyone and won’t be angry easily, confidence and considerate. I think we can through these three personalities to determine whether he or she could be a good leader.

Napoleon was a great leader, maybe because he was a great strategist, or maybe his men just followed him out of loyalty. Whatever the case, he is a typical example of the fact that a leader does not have to be a big person. Neither does a great leader have to be a man; like Indira ghandi for example. Being a good leader is not as easy as we think. Every tem, organization and also every country need a leader. But what characteristics are necessary to be a good leader? I think there are three characteristics a good leader needs. My opinion in this regard is as follow:

      First, I think a good leader should have a good attitude to everyone and should also be humorous. This could resolve an emergency easier and could also bring reconciliation where there is enmity between peoples. For example, Churchill once received a note saying “stupid” He just responded that: “I have received a note but that guy forgets to write content in it. The writer only remembers to write his name on it.” This humorous response resolved an embarrassing situation. So, having a good attitude toward people and a humorous way of confronting others are important for a leader.

      Second, good leader should show confidence through speeches and also with regard to their political views. This could give voters peace of mind and could also stabilize the economy. For instance, Hiliary Clinton always shows confidence through her speeches. This gets more people thinking of voting for her.

      Third, the most important characteristic for leaders is to be considerate. They should always think about what their people need. A good example was the leader of the Hsia dynasty- Yu. He helped his country by implementing a good administration for water affairs. He completed a great engineering task by establishing a network of waterways and a set of regulations to control it. His considerate personality not only helped his country but also won people’s respect and support. So, I think a good leader should have this characteristic.

      As indicated above, the characteristics for being a good leader are having a good attitude towards everyone and staying calm, confident and considerate. I think through these three characteristics we can determine whether a person will be a good leader or not. Without these three characteristics a person should not trying to lead any group of people.

          Hello, how’s everything going? Are you still staying in Taiwan? Recently, my school started to rive us a lot of homework for preparing the coming college entering exam. And we have to go to school everyday to have some previous class about my third year in senior high. Sometimes I would feel tired and didn’t want to go to school. That’s not a good symptom, right?

My favorite movie

The Day after tomorrow

A group of scientist found that the world is now quickly getting warmer than before. They kept observe ring the climate changes and all the people in the world have been warned to pay more attention on environmental issue. The other topic in the movie was that the scientist father gave his life to God in order to know whether he can save her son in New York City or not.

      I think this movie was not only filled with education issues, but also a lovely story. After seeing the movie, I learned that we should start to do something good to our Mother Earth. For example, we have to conserve our resources, and we can’t waste too much electrical power. Another thing I saw in the movie was that parents will always care about their children. No matter how difficult the situation was, children will always sit in the first place in parents’ mind. I love this movie because I was touched by what parents do to their children without any terms, and of course this movie gave us an important advice of our environment.

This news is talking about health. Cannulas-are used to give medication and fluids to people who cannot swallow . Drugs may also be more easily absorbed if given this way. But now researchers has found that this way would be easily infections and blood clots. So cannulas should be used less frequently and for shorter periods.

Vein tubes ‘fitted needlessly’

A third of patients have unnecessary tubes inserted into veins when they are in hospital, pharmacists have warned.

Researchers from Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University said this needlessly exposed them to serious complications, such as infections and blood clots.

Just under 350 patients were studied over six weeks, the majority of whom had the tubes, called cannulas, fitted.

An A&E expert recognised cannulas should be used less frequently and for shorter periods.

The study was presented to the British Pharmaceutical Conference in Manchester.

Cannulas – hollow plastic tubes with a needle at the tip which cost around £1.70 each – are used to give medication and fluids to people who cannot swallow because they are unconscious or being given nil by mouth, and it has been estimated that around 80% of hospital patients have them fitted.

Drugs may also be more easily absorbed if given this way.

But potential complications include problems with veins (phlebitis), drugs leaking into tissues around the site of the tube, serious infection and blood clots.

      This summer vacation I would like to introduce a book called ” Fly Away Home”. I think this book is talking about perserverance and never give up easily. There was a little girl whose mother was dead because a car accident. So she went to Canada to live with her father( her parents divorce when she was a little child). First, she didn’t really like her father because her father rarely went to visit Amy’s(the little girl) mother and Amy. Near her father’s house had a marsh. One day she found sixteen geese near the marsh, but she didn’t see their mother, so a flash came into her mind, that is- she wanted to take care of those geese and became their mother. Winter was comming soon, geese can not stay in Canada because the weather their was too cold form them . The girl( Mother Gooes), her father and her father’s friends made a plan, they would like to teach those geese flew in the sky to South. THey use plane to taught those geese. Of course, there were lots of difficulties to do such a “crazy” plan. The story will tell you how to overcome all the obstacles.

      Through this story, I learned that ” Nothing is impossible to a willing heart.” For example, the little girl didn’t know how to fly a plane at first, but with her determination, finally she fight against her fear, reach her goal to let all her geese flew to South savely. This make me think my situation now, I only have 170 days, then I will have a big exam to decide if I can enter a good collage. After reading this book, I think if I have determination to study hard, I can also reach my goal, and of course, I can’t never give up!

      I think it is a good idea for teenagers to have a job while they are still students. There are three reasons for me to explain why I think about that.

       First, I think it is possible for teenagers to learn more things that they can’t learn from school. For example, they can learn how to sell things or can learn the way to make simple food.

      Second, through working, teenagers can gain their abilities to be independent. For example, they can learn how to distribute money they earned. And they can learn how to manage how much they can spend and how much they have to save in a month.

      Third, they can decrease the economic pressure on their parents. For example, teenagers can pay for cell phone bills or cram schools’ tuitions by themselves. That is a good way for teenagers and also can reduce their parents burden.

      Due to those three reasons I wrote about. In my opion, I think it is a good idea for teenagers to have job while they are study.

      Oru school held a drama performance two weeks ago. It is an activity about English. My class came up with the idea of “Give Me Prince.” It is a syory about showing your determination. 

      First, we wrote the script by our own, but it’s not easy to do so. We changed it again and again, and make a lot of revisions. At that time, I felt frustrated and sad. With our efforts, finally, we finised our script. Second, we had to prepare for the stage properties. That is the most difficult part I thought because everyone had different opions, and we couldn’t force everyone to identify with as same thing. That’s why we had a little quarrel.

      Although we had a lot of difficulties in this drama performance, we still won a prize on it. And our team spirit becomes stronger than before. That’s the most precious we must cherish.

      This drama performance let me learn a lot. It let me know the steps of how to make a good drama and play a good show for audiences.

      ”Omnipotent glasses” is my invention. This computer is very smart that can tell everything you want to know. The omnipotent glasses contain lots of information. And the most special part of this device is that you can use your voice to control it.

      This computer is easy to use. First, put the glasses on your face and push the botton on the right side. Second, type the password in that glasses near the left side to get into your computer’s table. Third, you can tell that computer what you want, then you can get the information.

      There are three advantages for this computer. First, you can put your data in it. Second, it’s quickly to find what you want. Third, it is easy for you to carry with everywhere.

      Hermonie is a girl  who has three qualities to be a potential diplomat in the future. A suitable job I choose for her  is to be a deplomat. She has three atributes that I think she will be a very good diplomat.

      First of all, Hermonis is an outgoing perdon. She enjoys talking to others and seems to make friends easily.According to her, she likes to take part in social activites to communicate with people, learning a lot from others.

      Second, Hermonie cares about NEWS on TV, and the international affairs are her favorite. As long as she watches something special on TV that she doesn’t know, she will search on the  Net to find the relative information. It is important for a diplomat to be sensitine to the world’s news.

      Finally, Hermonie, who  is the leader of the debat club, is good at expressing things, which is an essential ability to be a diplomat. She also has a strong sense of responsibilities so that she will be loyal to her country.

      In my opinion, she has the gift to be a professional diplomat.
